Há tempos o parque tem passado por um grande processo de abandono por parte da prefeitura. Ele tem se mantido graças a ajuda de seus frequentadores, cujos valorizam muito o espaço. Além disso, o parque carece de uma padronização da sinalização. Seu sistema atual tem se mostrado ineficiente e desatualizado.

A nova identidade visual tomou como inspiração o sentimento de nostalgia que resume bem a relação da população com o parque, sempre atenciosa cuidando do local, sonhando em vê-lo vivo mais uma vez como na época da inauguração. A escolha do uso do verde como cor principal combinado com a madeira das placas proporciona pouca poluição visual e faz alusão à diversidade ecológica do parque. Na comunicação foram incorporadas diferentes formas que remetem às plantas locais (principalmente espécies em extinção) com a intenção de destacar sua vegetação rica.

The new visual identity was inspired by the feeling of nostalgia that sums up well the population's relationship with the park, always attentive taking care of the place, dreaming of seeing it alive once again as it was at the time of the inauguration. The choice of using green as the main color combined with the wood of the signs provides little visual pollution and alludes to the ecological diversity of the park. In the communication, different forms were incorporated that refer to local plants (mainly endangered species) with the intention of highlighting its rich vegetation.
